What is online Fitness & Lifestyle Coaching?

It is my coaching services adapted into online resources that bring my expertise to you wherever and whenever you need it. I have adapted my movement screens, workouts, nutrition plans and support resources to be delivered to you online. This allows you to workout when you want and access your resources whenever you need them. You still get my guidance, lots of accountability and everything else you need to reach your goals. You just have to put in the work and energy!

Can I do both online and in-person training?

Yes! This is one of our most effective packages at an affordable price point. A popular package for experienced exercisers is one in-person training session a week with a custom online program. We have several options to fit your needs, goals and budget. This will be discussed during your application process.

Are your fitness & lifestyle coaches all certified and do they have liability insurance?

Yes, I am certified through the provincial organization BCRPA and am required to renew my CPR and First Aid training yearly. For more details on additional certifications and qualifications of our trainers, please see my credentials here (link to About Us). Yes, I also carry insurance plus I have an additional policy.

Do you have a payment plan? How do I pay?

Yes, our personal training clients are billed at the end of the month for services used during the month. Payment is expected within 5 days of your invoice date, by Cash, Cheques, Interact Money Transfer or PayPal (+3% service charge) is accepted.

What are your policies and procedures around your services, costs, cancellations, etc?

You are expected to be on time for your session. This means changed and beginning your warm up by your start time.
We require 24 hours notice to re-schedule sessions at no charge. This must be done by yourself through your client profile or phone or email and you will need to provide alternative dates and times for your session. Re-scheduling by text message will not be accepted, and you will be billed. Sessions not re-scheduled 24 hours in advance will be charged at the full rate.

If you are sick or have an emergency and have to re-schedule within 24 hours, we charge a 25$ fee.

We strongly encourage clients to try to stick to their training schedule as much as possible as it is critical for your success.

What do I get with fitness coaching or stretch therapy services?

That will depend on the package you have purchased. Please review what is included in the different online packages. If your an in gym client, you can choose to add online services such as a exercise program, nutrition package or online resources to your program. We do not provide exercise, nutrition, stretch or cardio programs unless purchased.

I’m not in good shape – should I be working out prior to starting my program?

No, you don’t need to be in good shape to begin working toward your goals. The consultation and assessment is designed to assess your individual fitness level, detect postural imbalances and starting strength to create the most effective training program possible.

I am planning on becoming pregnant, am pregnant or have recently given birth. Is it safe for me to begin working with a trainer?

Yes! Christina Longo is a certified Pre-Natal Training Specialists who will be able to tailor you an effective, safe and beneficial training program. Safe and effective exercise during pregnancy will help with lower back pain, the birthing process and expedite the post-partum weight loss.

What and when should I eat before my session?

Eat a light meal about two hours before you work out.  You don’t need to avoid protein and fat, however don’t overdo either of these nutrients. If you end up eating a large protein, fibre and fat-filled meal, wait about 3-4 hours before exercising. If you feel hungry right before your workout, pick a small snack like a few nuts or a small protein shake 30-60 minutes before. Hydration is important for your health and exercise will cause a depletion of water when you sweat. Drink a glass of water an hour or so before your workout and again after your workout. You can also sip water throughout your session.

 

Do I need to bring anything to my first session? What do I wear to the gym?

Please wear clean and comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate footwear to your workout or stretch therapy session.
